False harps play

When all lies weep ,

the tears of truth

fall off the strings.

Flowing sadness

a river to drown,

as the bow she saws

in a phantom's gown.

Another heartbeat

at your door ,

sorrow is knocking

but who is it for ?

I fail to applaud

for your sake ,

a bitter taste

of my own mistake.

Wasting me

to tear me down ,

When I used to recycle

this heartbeat sound.

A pitiful shame

in the nosebleeds slunking,

leaving the vacant chair

of a front row junkie .

The back up is gone

when all lies wake,

influenced by the gloom

that they couldn't take.

Another heartbeat

at your door ,

sorrow is knocking

but who is it for?

Solo despaired

love enraged ,

the trebel clef

leaps off the page.

No one to stand

No one to cheer ,

because of a heart

that I failed to hear.

Flowing sadness

a river to drown ,

as the bow she saws

in a phantom's gown.

When I once recycled

this heartbeat sound..
