I looked up at Mama. She looked as if she was going to cry. I stared at the tall people with suits, they were really tall. They looked down at me and smirked. I stuck my tongue out. I didn’t like them one bit.

“If you disagree to the needs of the Nazi, you will be taken away. And so, will the girl.” One of the tall men looked at me.

I looked back at Mama, she was about to cry, I was so mad at the tall people, they made Mama cry.

I skipped forward, “You made Mama cry!” I shouted angrily at them. The tall people just smirked again. I didn’t like that, it was annoying. It reminded me of Max. I sighed. Max. Mama said that Max was on a vacation and wouldn’t be coming back, for a long time. Daddy wasn’t coming back either, apparently, he was at vacation at the same time. I was upset because I couldn’t go on vacation with them.

The tall people looked down at me. One crouched down to my height and said, “What do you know about Hitler?” I smirked, or at least tried to. “Mama says he is a bad man that deserves to be punished!”

Mama looked shocked. The tall people look at Mama with another smirk. Is smirking an everyday activity now? I became suspicious. Maybe it’s a fashion statement? But I couldn’t see how it was a fashion statement since the tall people looked… scary while doing it.
