The Toronto Blue Jays four game winning streak ended last night against the Tampa Bay Rays after a promising start.

After going ahead 3-1 in the third inning, Tampa rallied back to defeat Toronto 8-4.

Tied 1-1 at the top of the third inning, Teoscar Hernandez hit a two run homer.

Unfortunately for the Jays, the Rays tied the game 3-3 in the bottom of the inning.

First, Willy Adames drove in Jake Bauers with a RBI single.

Then, Mailex Smith drove in Joey Wendle with a single.

Toronto went ahead 4-3 at the top of the fourth inning when Randal Grichuk drove in Kendrys Morales with a single.

In the bottom of the fourth, though, Bauers hit his first ever Major League home run, a two run shot.

Tampa added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning when both Bauers and Wilson Ramos scored on a throwing error.

Finally in the seventh inning, C.J. Cron scored on a sacrifice fly by Adames.

Hernandez went two for four and collected two RBIs.

Bauers went two for three at the plate and also collected two RBIs last night.

Toronto's starting pitcher, Sam Gaviglio had a really rough night on the mound last night.  He lasted just 3.1 innings, giving up seven hits, five earned runs, two walks, and struck out just three batters.

Gaviglio's counterpart, Ryan Yarbrough gave up seven hits, four earned runs, a walk, and struck out four batters in six innings pitched.

Game Two is tonight.
