oh, hope

my sweet yet sorrowful friend

you are always here to welcome me in

yet you only see me when all else I hold is lost

why do you stay?

why do you give your self to the lowes each day?

what good could come from saving the lonely?

from going to those who have nothing?

I have done nothing to gain your friendship

yet I great each day knowing your kinship

truly you are God's gift

thank you hope, for staying near

thank you hope

through my own fault, I lose you

how alone you must feel

how ungrateful am I?

that I do not care for a gift from god

oh, hope

you are surely reliable

you always come back brighter than before

like a penny that was lost in a purs
