Unwinding Path

When I look back

My past is lost within hidden valleys

I see myself dazed and confused

Trying to find, the answers bound between the lines

Why am I tied down

To a bed of nails, and this pain disguising

I want to end this path unwinding

The twists and turns of denying

I want to make it around the bend

In hope of finding

What I long to seek, to escape from hiding

My mind is tangled

With my unanswered soul

I have cheated myself to understanding

The problems deprived, in the heart of me

In all that I grieve, I have yet to breathe

Racing with time, and destined to climb to the other side

Where the truth lies

Life is full of risks and moments of choice

Sometimes I bury myself in sorrows

Wishing for tomorrows

From underneath the charades, I can forever blaze

By letting the emptiness flow

There is more to show

Unleashing from this web I’m bind

I will leave that past behind

Looking on forever more

That which I speak unto my soul

Flying high, believe, soar
