“I don’t seek to destroy humanity. I seek to redefine it."

In the year 2156, mankind’s failed attempt to harness the power of the Sun plunges it into a world of perpetual darkness, where hope is scarce and despair is contagious. With the surface world
scarred by immeasurable amounts of radiation and heat, humanity’s fate teeters precariously on the brink of the abyss. Even so, mankind begins to rebuild its cities from the skeletal concrete
structures that sprawl across the landscape, scavenging from the ruins of the great monuments to human innovation that now lie crumbled and forgotten. Twenty years after the event known as the
Cataclysm, a mysterious entity surfaces from the ashes of humanity, intent on forcing the evolution of the human race beyond nature’s limits. As more of mankind is forcibly transformed into
biomechanical abominations as a result of the Splice virus, the human race is seemingly condemned to a fate far worse than extinction, with its fate left in the hands of a ragtag band of soldiers
who quickly find themselves way out of their depth.
