Stuck With Myself Again

My feelings jumped the gun

And now you're gone and stuff

This aching loss and overness

__is bleeding from my veins

You did not stay

Well, oh well

Where have I heard this story before?

You won't be here to save me from me

And I guess it's 'cause I'm nothing to you

So I take off into the caffeinated night

On my bike

Play a tune in my room

Afterwords eating pizza alone

Pop my pills, and upload

And while I only share the melody

__that was currently on my mind

____I kind of figured

______I was on the way to losing you

________any way I look at it

Looking back I could laugh

Tossing over my mountain

__of extreme anxiety

____attacks me into a stream

______of you not belonging to me

You not around

__has pumped up the sound

Let me hand over my goodbyes

To the Yankee Doodle Dandy in the sky

If you ever come back around

I know I'll lose you again

And I'll turn around

__and complain once more

I'll never get my heart

__off of the floor

____with us being "nothing" right now

So I'll march out of being

__lost in love with somebody

____that I should not be

I'll discover love elsewhere

In due time

Making it perfectly clear to myself

Has never been easy

So I'll wake up to reality later

And guide myself away from putting

__myself in jeopardy

____as carefully as I can

And maybe I'll understand

__in the morning

However long I sleep
