"Rita Hayworth"

By Christian Taylor

Men lust over me,

Women want to be like me.

Men only see and want Gilda,

Women only see me,

As the goddess on the screen.

Dance brings me joy,

Shy little girl I am.

Never could tell on the screen,

For the greatness of talent I possess.

You want Gilda and Affair in Trinadad,

I want Seperate Tables and Story on Page One.

You want the goddess,

I crave substance and dramatic parts.

More so than dramatic parts,

I crave a family life and happiness.

Men go to bed with Rita Hayworth,

And then wake up with me.

Saddest person you'll ever meet,

For I never found my happiness.

Hopeless romantic,

And now a prisoner of my own mind.
