7 Days of Love is about a young man named Oliver who is a bit of a loner. He doesn’t really have any friends, he wants a boyfriend but he always fears of not being good enough for anyone. And with
his parents always fighting and his brother out all the time he doesn’t really have anyone to be there for him...until he meets Aiden. Oliver instantly falls in love upon meeting Aiden. Some people
may say “There is no such thing as love at first sight” but I decided to do just that for this story.

7 Days of Love

Day 1

Synopsis: Love can be a powerful thing and some don’t believe in love at first sight. But for these two young men that might just be the case

There was something about tonight that just felt...off. I don’t know what it was, but I had this feeling. I just felt lonely. It was pretty cold out but I didn’t care considering it’s been hot as hell this summer. I looked at my phone and saw that it was half past eleven. So I headed on home as it started to drizzle. By the time I get home it was pouring. I went inside soaking wet. I expected my parents and brother to be sleeping. Oh how wrong I was as I saw them standing there. I could see the obvious worry and frustration on my parents faces and my brother smirking as he knew they were pissed I had stayed out so late.

Mom: “Oliver where have you been do you have any idea how worried your father and I have been?”

Me: “I’m sorry I was hanging around at the beach and I just lost track of time.”

My mother simply sighed. I expected them to start screaming but at this point I think they were just happy I was home safe.

My parents headed off to bed and I proceeded to sit on the couch exhausted when I was joined by my brother.

Matt: “That’s 2 weeks in a row Ollie. What is it with you and that beach?”

Me: “I like it Matt. I always think better when I’m there especially at night when nobody is there.”

He shook his head and smiled.

Matt: “Are you still getting bullied in school?”

Me: “I get bullied a lot but so what it doesn’t bother me anymore.”

Matt: “It doesn’t bother you when people make jokes... you know about you being gay?”

Me: “Not really. I’m proud of being gay and if people have a problem with that then that’s on them.”

Matt: “You know I love you no matter what right bud?”

Me: “I know Matt and I love you no matter what to.”

Matt simply smiled at me.

Matt: “Alright well I’m off to bed. Night bud.”

Me: “Night”

I stretched my legs on the couch as I yawned for what felt like over 10 seconds. I haven’t been this tired in a long time. I started closing my eyes dreading what would be yet another Monday back at school. I prayed that it would take forever for morning to come. Sadly it came fast as hell. It felt like I only slept for an hour. And I was late for school. When I got to school I walked through the doors wishing that the week would go by fast. My whole life I’ve basically been a loner. I don’t really have any friends as I tend to keep to myself. It had been 3 years since I came out as gay. For the most part everyone has supported me. Then again there are those few people in school who make jokes once in a while. Hey it’s not that I don’t want a boyfriend I do, I guess I just feel like I could never be good enough for anyone. I guess I have a problem when it comes to self esteem. The school day surprisingly went pretty fast. As I headed home I went to go open the door to my house when I heard my parents arguing. They did that a lot. Instead of going inside I headed for the beach like I always did after school. I started thinking about everything: my parents constantly arguing, me not having any friends, my depression. I guess I got distracted because next thing I know I tripped on the side walk. I could tell scratches my head as I felt the pain. I wanted to get up but some part of me just felt like I shouldn’t get up. I was on the ground for a good 15 seconds...until someone helped me on my feet. As I raised my head toward the stranger who had helped me up something sparked inside of me. It was a young man. He was about my height, he had gorgeous hair, sparking blue eyes like mine, and the best smile I’d ever seen.

Boy: “Hey man are you okay you look like you took a pretty nasty fall there.”

I tried to get some words out but I was stunned at how handsome he was that I could barely move.

Boy: “Um are you okay? That’s a pretty nasty cut you got. Luckily for you I have a bandage for that.”

After he put the bandage on my forehead I did my best to speak but all I did was stutter.

Boy: “Everything alright?”

I wanted to slap myself for not saying a word but I was able to finally get one out.

Me: “.........Hiiiiiiii”

Hi??? That’s the best I could do?? I should have said thank you! I thought I had ruined the moment but instead they boy started laughing.

Boy: “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to laugh it’s just the way you said that was really cute”

It took me like 3 minutes just to say hi. And he just called me saying hi to him cute! I started blushing and I couldn’t resist a smile.

Me: “Thank you”

I couldn’t stop smiling even though I was trying not to.

Boy: “So do you live around here?”

Me: “Oh yeah I live down a few blocks.”

Boy: “Cool. Well I hope we see each other again.”

Forget blushing I’m pretty sure my entire freaking face was red.

Me: “Me to. My name is Oliver. Some people call me Ollie but you can call me Oliver if you like”

He stretched his hand toward me and I returned it with my own as we shook hands”

Boy: “Well it was nice to meet you Oliver. My name is Aiden.”

Me: “Nice to meet you to Aiden”

I didn’t want to let go of his hand. But sadly he let go.

Aiden: “So I guess I’ll see you around.”

Me: “Yeah definitely”

He smiled at me again before walking away. I watched him walk until he turned the corner. Call me crazy...but if I didn’t know any better I’d say I was in love. I just met the dude and I already I was in love with him. There was something different about him then the rest of the people where I live. He just seemed so special. A part of me just thought to myself that I wasn’t actually in love I mean come on I literally just met the guy, I can’t be in love that quickly. One things for certain: I knew we would see each other again. And for the first time in a long time...I felt happy.
