The smell of copper still lingers,

On the tips of my fingers,

The effects of rage,

Betraying my age,

As I stare

Sullen eyed

In my mirror...

Because of course you know

More than I,

Who've worked here 10 years,

And you,

Who Barely entered ten seconds ago.

And the queue so long,

Almost two folk strong,

Instead of moaning and complaining,

Why not try just smiling and paying.

I've so many masks,

I'd make macchiavelli proud.

Hello,

how are you,

How kind,

Thank you,

Take care,

Then I stop and think,

Perhaps it is me that is odd……
