a poem i wrote, a metaphor that can be interpreted in many ways. either about sex, control, lust, temptation or a predator hunting it's prey, someone ready to sell their soul for fame and fortune
after struggling so long to do it the "right" way. there are many ways to read this.

You strayed so far off the path

so helpless there in the dark

I watch as you call out for help

The tears that fall from your eyes

How weak you have become

Brings a smile to my face

You've made it so easy for me

No need to chase you

Slowly but surely you'll keep stumbling

And soon you will find yourself

There on your knees in front me.

Crying for mercy

You want the pain to go away

Begging me to end your suffering.

I can numb your memories

Take my hand and come with me

Into the shadows

And far away from the light.
