I know you've fallen in love

I know you've fallen for her

You ask me why

"I can see it" is all I reply

But then my heart says something you can't hear

Because I'm no more than just a friend of yours

I know...

It's the way you look at her that shows it to me

It's your need to be close to her

It's how you get lost while talking to her

The world just disappears as you listen to her voice

Your eyes keep searching for her when she is around

And when she is not, there is a longing in your gaze... for her

You look forward to have a glimpse of her

And at that instant your heart just skips a beat

Your whole body reacts

You feel hot but cold at the same time

You hesitate, you can't find words yet you talk, to be able to listen to her

It's the way you lean forward as she talks...I can tell... you want to hear

You find means to make her smile

You don't want to hurt her so you choose your words

You want to be with her, yet you fear that you might pester her

You keep her far enough for you respect her

But close enough with fear of losing her

You talk of her with a glow in your eyes, a shy smile, an open heart

An eagerness in your voice to let her know, to make her realise

You think of yourself as unworthy of love

What you don't know is that you are a keeper

And my heart alone knows how I can see all this

It's just that you've never noticed... that this is also me if you'll ask how I feel about you...
