How We Got There

The final drop of my teeter-totter

Will wipe me off my belligerently see-sawer

When I fall asleep on my knees

I will bleed when I dream of the word "please"

After I manage to empty out my head

I'll hear words of wonder trapped in bed

How I'll get there, I don't know

I don't care if I'll be alone

But when I get there, don't let me go

Hold onto my Chilly Cheese Frito like brain

And don't ever go away

When you hear the bells ringing in your ears

Take heed, the warning signs of fear

And let loose like a rock in the wind

Filled to the brim

Watching the clouds disperse in a sad moment

As you respond the cameras, "no comment"

And leave in the mists of approaching reporters

Held to their interrogations for your horrors

Did it mean much, that you sat and had lunch

While the world watched you not give a fuck?

Thee angry eyes fallowed you home

As the lenses were smeared with blood from your nose

After you sneezed in the filming

Of you getting up and leaving

The world was restless in despair

Trying to understand why you were there

But the window that is cracked open

Airs out the crack cocaine fumes that were smoken

Until you pass out crashing from the goodies

You look to see if the madness is over

Right after you gain consciousness

Throwing the world over your shoulder

Begging for relief

But can it ever begin?

You told the sausage platter, "no more"

But still eat the cheese

That is all over you and me
