What is this dark place

That I am in?

Why is it crawling through the holes,

Escaping; trying to come in?

Creeping, holding my thoughts down

With sharp knifes; I am surrounded.

It's lit; the room, the light,

But somewhere deep inside my mind

It's hollow - dim - dark - night.

No free thought, the only thing binding

Me, holding me tight,

Is this contract; I am a hostage.

Stop ! I don't want this bondage!

You can't yell but try, try screaming,

Still this darkness flows through seeping.

It leaves you feeling colorless; no hue,

Like there is nothing you can do.

It's dark in the corners of my mind

And that makes it nice to hide.

Everything's visible, the lights are plenty.

But still when I close my eyes: darkness,

My thoughts empty.
