I was reading a book yesterday that set my mind on fire about what is going on in our country, right now. I think everybody on both sides, should take a deep breath and reconsider things before you
make any more online posts. I know i will.

I'm sure there will be people who don't like this post, but i didn't do it to cause any more division. I tried to post historical facts, along with my own thoughts. If you disagree, you are free to
leave your remarks or constructive ideas, but please try not to use hateful words with threatening language. I'm not trying to step on any toes, here. I just want everyone to take a moment to think
about what we are doing.

If we could all try to come together and get along, I believe we will be able to accomplish much more than fighting each other. After all, if we want to save this great country, we can't do it by
tearing it all down. If we can't stop arguing for ourselves, maybe we could do it for our children.

Today, we all look around and see our freedoms being torn apart. The things that we remember doing as children have been greatly diminished.

Deep within each of us is the idea of what America should be. We all long for the ability to do whatever we desire.

At its inception, America struggled to get away from the old monarchy. It yearned for the ability to stand on its own as a people under a democracy, ruled by a government that was elected by the people and for the people. This required a separation from England and its King. It also demanded abolishing the payment of taxes to that King (Boston Tea Party).  Our ancestors died for the freedom to separate from the monarchy in the Revolutionary War.

So...now we are America, but we no longer feel the loss of our ancestors. It doesn’t seem real to us. We never really knew them, but they paid for that separation with their blood!

As time passed, there were more wars. The main reason for the Civil War was to abolish slavery, so all of us could live under the guise that we are all created equal. Blood was spilled for that war as well, so the price was paid in full!

Next came World Wars I and II. When World War II ended, this must have been the time when the leaders decided they would once again rule as Kings. World War II ended on September 2, 1945 and on October 24, 1945 the United Nations was established. This is most likely when the digression of America began.

Since that time, Americans have lost more freedoms than we have gained. Our country has continued to be in unending wars, with necessity for those wars often questioned. We listen as we are told horrible things will happen to us if new laws aren’t passed and added to the Constitution that was established by our founding fathers.

In more recent years, there has been a big push for internet connections to be available in every household.  We live and breathe each new television show and sign-up for every new social network that becomes available. It is boasted by many as a new platform to take advantage of our freedom of speech. Because after all, we are free! Right? If our leaders were asked on mainstream media, I’m sure we might see what seemed to be a kind smile and an honest “yes” answer, but no. This is not what is happening here, friends. Not at all!

The Internet is looked upon as the answer to all problems, with what seems to be unlimited abilities. It serves as a fantastic educational tool, a great gaming foundation for our children, and what seems like a good place to voice our own personal opinions,  but along with new robotic inventions it is most definitely stealing away our jobs and our ability to make money to support our families. Do you really believe the entire world can make a living typing articles and making YouTube videos?

We are all (maybe not all) so gullible that we believe the lies being shoveled to us. We have all gotten on our soap boxes, crying out for every ungodly freedom that falls into our minds as a possibility. We argue with each other, endlessly. There are even people who go as far as destroying property, burning down things,  and emotionally and physically abusing others on the streets, because they must be heard! But who are we trying to get to hear us? Each other? All we know is...it makes us wielders of power and it feels great!

Open your minds and think carefully...Why would the leaders of the world have allowed this to happen? Did they really love us and care that we have a free voice, or maybe they are giving up and just want to be nice? At first sight it looks amazing, but I’m afraid there is a much more sinister work at play right under our noses and we have all been too blindsided trying to jump each wave of problems to see it.

Whether we know it or not, we are all still peasants who have temporarily been handed a dangerous toy that will ultimately end our freedoms. Yes! You didn’t think our leaders were really nice, did you?

This is what is going on….Like the Tower of Babel, we all had the ability to speak our minds and with Google Translate, any nation or language could read our words and understand them.

Our country, that once stood on the premise and stamped our money with “In God We Trust” has now been fighting against each other for the new premise “This Is What I Want”.

Each of us has our own idea of what freedom is, but no matter which side we stand on, the truth is, there are really only a few freedoms we should be fighting for and those are already in our Constitution.  Anything more will tear apart the very fabric that this country was built on!

We all know that we need food and shelter. There is no argument there. We probably should also remember to “Love your neighbor as yourself”, but many rights that people are fighting for, really aren’t what should be labeled “Rights” at all. Most of these should be labeled “Desires”. Our country wasn’t built on a foundation that could withstand all of the desires of men.

World leaders knew this would happen, so they continued to allow it. They knew that this Tower of Babel would come crashing down, just like before, and they knew who would be left standing. Well….I can tell you right now….It won’t be us!!!

Then what? We will all be crying out for someone to come save us, but once we get that savior, we will have none of the freedoms that we have been demanding.

When everyone doesn’t have a leg left to stand on, our leaders will laugh their maniacal laughs and know that they have won. They will say, “You had your chance and you blew it! No freedoms for you my lovely peasants! You will live under our rules now!”

In conclusion, probably the best way to help our country is to first know your history.  Get involved in your own community in anything that will improve, not tear down. Teach your children the truth, to be kind to one another, and make sure they know their history, because “People who don’t know their history are doomed to repeat it.” We must forge forward with a positive attitude, roll up and sleeves and start rebuilding what we have been tearing down, because whether we want to admit it or not, we only have each other.
