I realize when I think I'm fine,

How close you were to being mine,

The scarlet of excitement on your face,

As I asked you to that place,

You so eagerly agreed,

From a series of misfortunes I thought I was freed,

After all the heat ache here was the one,

My light and my only sun,

But alas I was still the fool,

Played as someone power's tool,

After a period of silence,

I grew in my reliance,

In this ideal of you,

We just couldn't be through,

I though what we had,

Would kill off all the bad,

Now I'm stuck with this mistake,

Sympathize with Fall leaves stuck in a rake,

Not going anywhere and losing ground,

Trying to act as my heart pounds,

But here I am far away,

Yet still you demon or goddess I'm under your sway,

Thinking of how your voice chimes,

Always at the perfect times,

Fills me with a joy not felt in a while,

From floor to ceiling tile,

Beyond even that into the galaxy's space,

Powerful my heart seems to race,

Whenever you're near,

Yet is it the idea I hold dear?

God forbid I see this idea in another's arms,

It would do me the gravest of harms,

I thought here I was the wraith,

But you still haunt despite my faith,

I still think I should have resisted more,

Because now you are too much like a drill's bore,

My salvation and my bane,

You are both holy and yet profane
