How does it feel, to die?

I have been trying for eternity

To kill you, and to escape this vessel.

Instead, I killed the plague inside it.

I am not where you left me,

I can find my own way out now.

Finding light in night's shadow,

I have conquered the evil you were.

Do you know the mess you made?

Destruction was always so easy for you.

You hurt people who wanted to help,

And broke your own heart in the process.

You couldn't succeed in your plans,

You left too much room for me to come.

I snuck in, at the peak of your plot,

Making a home in the life you tarnished.

There was a lesson that got me here.

I couldn't have done this on my own.

See, living is not the curse it was,

Eternal death was never endgame.

There is a way to be good again,

For life is a track that keeps going.

I took off the chains you let drag behind,

And I have not stopped running since.
