We Can Never Be What You Want Me To Think We Can

I left my lofty brain on the side of a freeway

I thought that I could find a better way

I'll live my life without the hassling of thinking

Every one says I wasn't meant to be sane anyhow

So I'll drip my thoughts out to dry on this rug

Tell me when all the fun is supposed to begin

I have a hard time understanding the meaning

Of anything I'm supposed to be doing

Like sitting around, waitin' for anything

When the good news comes my way

I'll let the dead beat world

Come and take it's dead beat time

Telling me what I should do

I look to you like you are "nothing"

'Cause what can you do for me?

Just have me waiting around for nothing to begin

Between us?

And as this fucked up season ends

When ever it does finally fuckin' end

I'll know what's so wrong with you and me

Because I'll have done a lot of thinking by then

And I'll know all thee avenues we've been thru

Where you dragged me to come along with you

Only to waste my time and fool me

Into thinking I was love by you

So I could do anything you wanted me to do

I know there isn't anything you can say

To try and explain yourself, these days

I know your motives aren't enough for me

To ever even forgive you

Now piss off and eat shit and die

I can finally see you were never ever really ever mine

Goodbye, you fuckin' whore

I don't have it in me to love you anymore
