Have you taken a moment to open your eyes? Solitude, loneliness, easily disguised. A finger across glass, tap twice on the screen. One comment too many, gaze narrowed and green. Verbal communication, a 'little too much.’ “Hey, you look good,” now replaced with a touch. But not against skin, no warmth of another, Easy to do, your phone is your cover. “Can you believe that she texted twice?” “Seems kinda clingy,” but maybe just nice. Act all abrasive, why would you care, anyway?

But you're sat there, head pounding, can't seem to hold. Wallowing in shadows as they swallow you whole. “It's okay, I'm fine, I'm better off alone, Life is so much easier from the comfort of my phone.”
