Once when I was little

Once when I was little
I saw the sky fall down
It wasn’t hard
didn’t hurt
and never made a sound

Once when I was little
the sun didn’t shine
It wasn’t dark
didn’t stop
and I never once went blind

Once when I was little
the rain just stood still
and I walked between the rain drops
something again I never will

But now that I’m older
the sky never falls
now that I’m older
the sun obeys its laws
And now that I’m older
the rain no longer stalls

And now that I’m older
Can you still hear my calls?

Once when I was little
you answered every plea
but now that I’m older
your answers I’ll never see.
