A martyr is someone who suffers persecution and death for advocating, renouncing, refusing to renounce, or refusing to advocate a belief or cause as demanded by an external party. This refusal to comply with the presented demands results in the punishment or execution of the martyr by the oppressor. Most martyrs are considered holy or are respected by their followers, becoming symbols of exceptional leadership and heroism in the face of difficult circumstances. Martyrs play significant roles in religions.

Willem was a martyr. He was also a "Light Sleeper" "Wild at Heart" and "Born on the Fourth of July" in a "Bad Country." "A Most Wanted Man" by "A Woman" "Nymphomaniac" named "Miral." To Willem, "The Last Temptation of Christ" was a "Triumph of the Spirit." "To Live and Die in L.A." on "Streets of Fire" at "Roadhouse 66" was "Off Limits." Willem liked to spend time at "The Pavilion of Women" in the company of women. Then at the "Animal Factory" in the company of animals.

Willem was a bit of an "Antichrist." He said "Adam Resurrected" on the third day, and Jesus only on the fourth. "Out of the Furnace" "Fireflies in the Garden" glow "Heaven's Gate." And the "Loveless" "Shadow of the Vampire" vanishes in "The Dust of Time." Willem, the "Fantastic Mr. Fox," and his friend, "John Carter," "Sculpt" "The Great Wall" to keep "The Hunger" "Faraway, So Close!"

As you can see, Willem's life made no sense. Until he became a martyr. This is how it happened.

While doing an "American Psycho" (the act of checking yourself out in the mirror, while doing a girl doggy style) Willem had an "American Dreamz": fly "To The Moon & Back." This dream came true when he was chosen for the first space tourist trip organized by the NASA.

During the journey to the Moon, Willem told the crew that we could be living at any point in an infinite sequence of universes, or conversely the current universe could be the very first iteration. The NASA was so impressed by Willem's knowledge that they wanted him to share his wisdom about the universe at a conference.

So, Willem was invited at a conference held by the NASA about "The Fault in Our Stars." Willem made a public speech saying that distant supermassive black holes whose large size was hard to explain so soon after the Big Bang might be the evidence that God couldn't have made the universe in six days. But in more than six days and less than billions of years. Everyone present that day was shocked by what they heard.

Willem faced a trial for insulting the scientific community and the religious community for changing the general belief about the creation of the universe. Indeed, the scientific community confirmed that the universe developed over billions of years. However, the religious community confirmed that God created everything in six days. And Willem believed the universe developed between more than six days and less than billions of years.

The problem was not what Willem believed. The problem was that the public opinion agreed with him. They said Willem made a conservative estimate by taking into account the margin of error scientists and religious authorities did not. The scientific and religious community couldn't tolerate that a newcomer discredit them. They put pressure on the government to silence him. Willem was arrested and charged for spreading false information on the Internet through the numerous Facebook groups his followers and fans created. These Facebook pages got ten times more "likes" than the scientific and religious pages spreading the opposite ideas together.

Willem was found guilty by the court and sent to jail. As soon as the public learned about the sentence, Willem's followers on Facebook changed their profile's picture by uploading a picture of Jesus on the cross with the face of Willem. In the sign where Pilate wrote "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews." It was changed to "Willem of Nazareth (Pennsylvania), the King of the Universe." They did so to protest against the court decision, and in support of Willem, "The New Martyr of the Universe."

When Willem got to know about the whole thing on Facebook, he said to himself:

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Willem didn't want to be the new Jesus. He didn't even want to be a martyr. He just wanted to tell the truth.

After a few months in jail people forgot about him, and the numerous Facebook groups his followers and fans created were deleted. When Willem learned about it, he said:

"The worst thing is to get involved with people who aren't passionate about what they're doing.""When you have something to work with, then you fly with it."

Willem wanted his followers and fans to follow him. But they couldn't, they had no wings to fly.

Willem had no problems with contradictions. First he said:

"I never act. I simply bring out the real animal that's in me."

Then he added:

"Action breeds inspiration more than inspiration breeds action."

Willem was a real animal that bred inspiration.

"You have to lose yourself to find yourself."

To lose yourself or not to lose yourself. That's the question. (Willem, the King of the Universe)

"There's a real wisdom to not saying a thing."

If Willem had the inspiration to shut up during the journey to the Moon, nothing would have happened. He wouldn't be a martyr. And you wouldn't read this story because I wouldn't have written it.

"So, goodnight Willem. When your father asks: "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?" You have to answer: The New Martyr of the Universe."
