My 6 year old daughter just recently got a new kitten. She always begs me to let her sleep with the kitten at night, but I can't allow it because my other daughter, who's only a few months old, sleeps in the same bed as me and her, and I can't risk her getting scratched.

Last night though, after I turned out the light and got into with my two daughters, I felt something furry against my back.

"Bella," I whispered. "I told you, you can't sleep with the kitten."

"But I'm not!" she responded in a whiny voice.

I knew what she was trying to do. Lying. I was NOT in the mood for that. I can't stand my own daughter lying to me.

"You have to tell me the truth. Please get that animal out of here." I was getting angry.

But then I heard her start to cry.

"M-Mommy...I swear I'm not."

Suddenly I heard a meow come from outside of the bedroom. I peaked through the crack of the door and saw my daughter's kitten. That sweet calico kitten stared at me sweetly. I could only assume she wanted some food.

But I could still feel fur against my back. And when I woke up this morning, I couldn't find my youngest daughter at all.
