I lie awake,

staring, prolonging time, exasperating life, overthinking, imploding, and again staring

As I stare into the darkness

I obtain a comparison

With the pure blackness of the infamous bloodstained corner and blade

And the dark that retains its place in my mind.

Flowing all throughout, a shadow that corrupts

My thoughts, my dreams and my action

Staring I peered into the fate of all of my kind

The individuals who think the same way I do

Who have that shadow lurking

like a creature in a swamp

The ones with no silver lining

Or gold at the end of the rainbow

After years of physical and mental abuse

External and Internal trespassers

Laying waste to what was once a prosperous place

The shadow manifests them

Transforms into a deadly being, named suicide

This darkness can be avoided by those who have the strength

But some don’t

Some of us don’t have the wisdom, the power

Sone don’t have the torch of jubilee to guide them out of the maze

Of Woe and Despair.

They become slaves to it.

It calls itself a ruler of a hell-like ravage land.

But in reality is a parasite

Feeding off our very souls

Eventually the darkness will have nothing left to feed on.

It will move on, looking to make slaves out of another innocent being

The Darkness comes for everyone in their time.

It is inescapable.

Depression is real, unpredictable and murderous.

Tread lightly with your torch of jubilee.

He will come for you.

The darkness evermore.
