Seemingly soulless

It took its prize

Left aches

Left shivers

Left all-seeing eyes

But in loss of innocence

What stood in its place

Was magic,

Yet torture:

A child missing its case

The infant stood screaming,

Lost thought into feeling

And with burns in its eyes

Had not sight in its lies

A moment

Lasted a century

As the scars healed a frame

Now was rebirth

Once sought, always came

And all that was left

Happened always to be near

Peace, Content, Love:

The feeling after fear.
