An attempt to write a love ballad.

Sitting under a cherry blossom tree

as petals float past in the gentle wind;

Oh! the night is so cold with none to hear my plea.

My heart can’t be confined,

When it thinks about My Lord

- The conqueror of the Sun and the Moon,

with whom none dares to have a discord.

Oh! Messenger of the night sky, go soon

And convey to my Lord, that I await all alone,

Day by day and night by night;

Only to wither away in melancholy, unbeknown

- For my Lord seems to be out of sight.

"A cherry blossom flower I'd wish to be

To rest upon my Lordship’s feet."

Is what I think whenever I’m under this tree,

For he is my love that makes me complete!

Melancholic Wisdom

What a good poem, you can feel the intense love pouring out of every word. The imagery was astounding as well, great job

I love the cover you chose, the font, the gentle and elegant way your words and subject float like the cherry blossoms do. Oh I could go on. This poem is so well composed.
