Most of what I write is about how I feel about someone, this being in the early stages of my last boyfriend... Telling lies to myself, when my writing told the truth. Thank you God for my talents.

I've made a mistake.

Doing something so demeaning, so irate.

Nothing can go back to that moment and erase.

Like the winter wind blowing down a tree,

Knocking over everything including the root, shaking off every leaf.

Oh, how miserable the tree must be,

To just lay on the ground and grieve.

Every passerby overlooking the large tree in defeat

Without a second thought to how that tree needs relief.

No apologies can be great,

Nor could anyone who comes to help be able to relate.

Only that tree can feel the sadness, the anger that it reverberates

So much so, the wind looks down at it and just mindlessly smiles back; regurgitate.

As the tree just hugs the ground for one, final, goodbye,

The tree can now feel complete, and die.
