Who did you have in mind, when your arms were wrapped around me, when your eyes were seeing through me, when your mouth was whispering softly…?

Who did you have in mind, when your arms were wrapped around me, when your eyes were seeing through me, when your mouth was whispering softly…?

Must have been somebody beautiful; must have been someone you love

Must have been somebody special, enough to keep you clinging so fiercely to nothing…

I wonder if we’re at all alike; do I make a decent copy?

Should I cut my hair or grow it out; does my figure match your tastes?

It must…because you’re smirking, because you’re worshipping with finesse

The flesh upon these bones absorbing your affection, far misplaced

Careful as a craftsman, you mold me into your ideal; move this way, tilt my head, bite my lip, caress my hips…

If I had delusions, I’d say you want me; but then I know that isn’t rue

I’m only replacing your phantom dreams with something tangible, synthetic, real…

Who did you have in mind, the last time I was here?

Who’d you let break your heart, and steal all the remnants away?
