Maybe I was meant to be a ghost,

A hallow shell of a host

for a strong spirit too weak to emerge.

I wish I had a sedative sometimes,

my head is caving in

I'm a lost kid again,

drowning under water

is this apart of

my path in life?

I'm going down that road again.

caught up at the fork in the road.

I'm trying to hold on again

to something that may not be worth it.

Maybe I was meant to be a ghost,

A hallow shell of a host

for a strong spirit too weak to emerge.

I feel just like an animal

a weakened prey

at the mercy of a predator's claws.

A bloodied fish

at the mercy of a shark's jaws.

I am my own savior,

learning to love myself.

A hard task to do

when you're a ghost

that's a hallow shell of its host.
