Your tongue like practiced hands Weaving lies of deceit with each Flick of your wrist and wink of an eye. You twist back and forth leading them down A rabbit hole of spinning clocks While time and again they fall For the sweet words toppling from your lips Like water from a fountain. And the charm melting in your eyes Pours straight into their hearts But like poison it is killing them. Drowning in your sighs Tripping over your goodbyes And just when they thought it would end The truth removes the cloth from their eyes And they see you for what you are. Just a man trying to paint himself in glory. You sit on your pedestal And you prey and you prey On the hearts and minds and bodies Of little girls wrapped in innocence. Just wanting to call you Daddy. Just wanting you to love them.
