As I feel it fill my lungs, can I feel it fill my soul?

As I hear it rip through silence, can I feel it touch my soul?

The night wind screams quietly, each breath feels more like lead

But as the shivers start to come, I won't convulse until I'm dead

The freezing winds clear my thoughts, I should probably think of something warm

But does that change the temperature as an umprella would stop a storm?

Does it keep the rain from hitting me? Are my problems really solved?

Does hiding from a firefight cause the violence to dissolve?

Facing my inner demons seems more hellish than helping my case

My fear of the freezing winds feels more like lack of faith

Abdication to the silence chills my spine down to the bone

So was there really wind at all or just my fear of being alone?
