the square of light flashes with amusing vibrancy

the epileptic colors stimulate my brain

numbing the dread

it is a master of deception,

Drawing my gaze away from the falling shards,

I don't see it.

But its there all the same.

I feel the tug of concern,

but just barely,

the square of light desensitizes.

only when I look away,

do I see the swaying pillars of glass

only when I break it's hypnotic spell,

do I witness the old shower of small stones,

assaulting the tall fragile bodies

in breaking contact with the square of light,

I find truth

hideous truth

The towers of shine are going to fall.

the debris promise to chew on me for generations.

I see the ones throwing the pebbles.

they are beyond my reach.

I cant stop them.

I can only wait

hope they grow tired

I return to the square of light.

It flashes with amusing vibrancy.

The epileptic colors seize my attention,

Numbing the dread.

The cracks are spreading

the glass is going to break

as glass often does
