Grey blue tides

enchanted eyes.

Your sunbeams caress

warms my side.

Touch heat long enough?

Humans burn, and go numb.

No simple mistake,

we’re just that dumb.

We pray to the sun

but crisp in its rays.

Hunger for sustenance,

yet avoid its harsh gaze.

Like moths to a flame

we dig our own graves,

and hurl our fragile hearts

into monster caves.

They tell no lies?

those seashell eyes?

The waves grumble truths

whispering sounds, and sighs.

To no avail

she does not comply,

she does not care.

She’s hypnotized.
