Sitting on my couch I wondered where I have come to

From that twinkling decorated hall to the room so blue!

Everything has changed; nothing is the same

From the deepest down of my soul, the moan just came!

How could I dare reject or deny

I was enchained to say anything; had to comply!

I thought life would remain so smooth, so calm and so serene

From the shades of romance, the highlights of love that he had shown to me

I’m hating the smell of nail polish and the lipstick that’s scarlet Red

I’m scared of the whisperings on the pillow of the wedding bed!

How ruthless he could be, the thought had never crossed my mind

The caresses on my cheeks, kisses on the lips had made me sightless and blind

The light of those chandeliers penetrate my eyes as if cutting my brain

Would it always breeze frosty, won’t ever come the Summer Rain?

How could I dare question or argue

I was enchained to say anything and do!

I thought he will change, the tables will turn one day

But I was in wrong; life’s remained forever- gross and gray!

I’m hating the cards and gifts from his side

I need an eternal place to forever go and hide!

The noise of the swarm of guests is still in my ears

The music, those songs and dances break me into tears

It wasn’t needed, it wasn’t needed when my heart was to be torn

Nor was the jewelry and makeup that I had worn

How could I dare question or stroke a cry?

I was enchained to say anything; had to comply!

I thought he would always remain so loving, compassionate and genteel

Sometimes I wince at myself, of how wrong and amiss did I once feel!

I’m hating the mascara, this black eyeliner as well

Life with him could not be called life but yes, the hell…
