Full of venom, spiteful and rogue,

it slithers along a disconnected path,

lost and unsure, yet arrogant.

I watch what lies in wake

of its path of destruction

because I can do nothing but observe.

This vicious part of me does not quit.

He finds a way to destory

and does so rather quickly

without any remorse;

and yet I rejoice. The pain he puts me through becomes

a lesson

to learn from.

To beat the beast one must outsmart the beast,

and to outsmart the beast one must embrace the beast.

We wrestle beneath the moonlight

tonight

and every night.

And I embrace the pain, I embrace the frustration

without which I would have no knowledge of being

alive.

I thrive

in this environment;

his venom is salty and sweet,

warm and cold,

and through my veins it pumps,

strong.
