I’ve heard it said keep your head up at all times.

If I did you would read the story in my eyes.

You would feel my soul, review my past, see my goals

But would you understand to let me be?

I know it’s hard not to feel for a moment.

I’ve been down enough times to realize what is coming.

The sympathetic word. The harmless touch you can afford.

But you don’t understand to let me be.

Another cliché, catered to me

But I can’t think of any other way to say: Misery loves company

My words push you away. My face bids you stay with me.

Misery loves company

You’ve gone and hung your head with me.
