Sometimes, some days, I lose the faith

that I'm going to make it where I want to be

Most times, I just keep my eyes on the prize,

but no matter how hard I stare, I just can't see it

The long and winding road is closed ahead,

and I'm just a traveler lost within a dream.

I scream at myself I'll get there one day,

but sometimes, some days, hope is lost on the horizon.

the road unwinds in my rear view mirror,

but the car stands still, while years flash by

in a blink of longing to emerge,

trapped this dark, endless tunnel.
