Hurting soul, mending heart, laughing smile, hidden tears. Man appears nothing in hand, determined to see what no other has unlocked. She knows not why, this man desires her heart, her soul. His words she hears, but silent is she.

Pleadingly he calls “Take down thy walls! I see thy pain! Let me help I pray thee!” Silent she stays, her armor still about her. Afraid, he carries a weapon hidden within. What he sees, she does not know, he refuses to tell her. “Why?” she asks “Why should I let thee in? You are just as capable as those before you with your tongue and your deed.”

“I see thy pain please let me in.” he whispers. She hears his quiet plea and goes without her walls clad in armor still. Going to his side, she lifts up his head looking him in the eyes.”I am here.” she says. Taking hold he swears to never let go.
