HUNGRY EYES

Dandelions and dragonflies

Have a magical shimmer

When high off the effects

Of starvation

The wind carries leaves like painting

But also bite you

So hair will thicken

skin swells to protect

That so thin muscle

That outlines your bones

Joints will creak and crack

Careful how you walk the high is setting in

Careful what you say

The hunger will eat your soul away

Ach and pains

Rip through your ribcage

Hip bones too sharp

For you paper thin skin

And your eyes will have a hollow shine
