The Vegas Golden Knights, the NHL's new prized expansion team. The first expansion team to reach the Stanley Cup finals in their first year of existence. How does a team of castaways and the rest of the NHL's unwanted trash manage to pull this off? They are posers, pretenders, their theme song could appropriately be "Fake It" by Seether (amazing song by the way). The point is, the Golden Knights may be fairly good, even if their team is the league's unwanted trash. However, they are posers because of how they suceeded. I do believe that the NHL's most beloved jackass Gary Betteman wanted the Knights to win the Cup and be the first expansion team to do it in their first year of existence. It would be his way of justifying even more expansion to the NHL.

First off, the Golden Knights play in the once great but now pathetic and miserable pacific division. Once great teams like the L.A. Kings, Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks are now jokes, absolute jokes. Teams like the Vancouver Canucks, and failed expansion team Phoenix Coyotes, words can't even describe their level of sadness. That subject will be for another article. Let's also not forget the Calgary Flames, a pitiful team so terrible they wanted to bring back living fossil Jaromir Jagr, another addition to the list of "old men who need walkers and life alerts." The point of this is to say that the Golden Knights had essentially a cake walk to reach the Stanley Cup finals. The L.A. Kings are again, pitiful, sad, awful, horrible, the list goes on. The Winnipeg Jets are, well they're the Jets, to say the least. That would be a subject for another article all on its own.

The Golden Knights are pretenders, posers and fakers in the NHL. They are yet another incarnation of jackass man child Gary Betteman's wet dreams of NHL expansions. Naturally he would've used the Stanley Cup they could've won as justification for likely more expansion. In the words of Seether's "Fake It", the Golden Knights can fake it with the best of anyone, and fake it with the best of them all.
