From out of the flames rides a pale horse,
but not as pale and bloated as the rider, of course.

Unbearable, the heat rages from coast to coast,
burning the sky with his empty, ego-stroking boasts.

The forecast calls for nothing but more of the same,
hot weather they say, yes, but that's not to blame.

I dream of a day spent at the refreshing ocean shore,
away from this man-made nightmare, can't take anymore.

Want new hope, a new start, and a tropical drink,
some fight on, even while we're told what to think.

The life guard on duty's not paying attention with a watchful eye,
he's dreaming of god status, and dreaming up his next lie.

The storm on radar, was off the coast, now it's here,
soothing blue wave bye-bye to division, hatred, and fear.

People complain, vowing to make their voice heard,
but if they don't vote, we're stuck with this, oh, what is the word?
