You didn’t die, but you might as well have

Some nights I wished you were dead

as I feverishly tossed and turned,

couldn’t get you out of my head

You never went to jail, never did your time

I wonder what would have happened

if they made you pay for your crime

Would your cell mate have killed you?

Would you have done it yourself?

You killed the little girl in me,

put her through fucking hell

But now you’re living your life,

you’re unaffected day-to-day

While I’m stuck in this body

trying to keep demons at bay

Because you put them there

with every touch of your mouth,

every fucked up caress-

they’re screaming now to come out

Sometimes I wish the world new

how you defiled me then-

how you’re only a monster

that now lives among men
