The moon may sing down to me

but I can cup her pale face in my hands

if I hold them against the night sky

and say, “Your light is

bright tonight

its must be the wings of angels, flocking

that makes you so white tonight

your glow is bright tonight

I can see myself

reflected in you

the seraphim are alive this night

I hear them, and see them too.”

And you are here, you

Who blew in from the east

Like a whispered word

You came into sight

I got just a little softer when

you gave out heaven's light

you're my bone sweet angel

and I know you will not last

It's true, tears can't run quick enough

when beauty fades so fast.
