Yesterday was the day I decided To finally buy you a diamond ring It's been many years since we collided And it's past time to give a queen her king Early efforts were surely misguided When you had me dangling by a string But now you are someone to confide in Someone whom to carry our offspring So please excuse me if I'm misguided For I do not follow what you're texting This conversation has been one sided And I must surely be missing something You leaving now has my heart divided The day after I went to buy a ring
