Little Jason Milton Cuddles
Likes to jump in great big puddles.
Leap
Dash
Spin
Crash
Watch him as he makes a splash.

A door bursts open, a shout is heard;
Jason’s mother is perturbed.
“March inside, you're soaking wet.
You’ve ruined your new shoes I bet.”

Dejectedly, he trudges to the house;
Slumping in—quiet as a mouse.
He changes his clothes and eats his meal.
Finally finished, Jason makes his appeal.

“May I go back outside and play?
I’ll wear my rubber boots today.”
His mother agrees and sends him outside,
With a reminder, “Try and stay dry.”

Once outside the temptation is great;
Jason sneaks to the puddle, he can hardly wait.
Taking one boot off and then the other,
He fills them both with puddle water.

From the window mother watches him play.
Running
Rolling
Bouncing all day.
Her talk must have worked, his boots kept him dry.
What she doesn’t know is that there’s a puddle INSIDE!
