Memories cherished, and times spent for naught
Remnants of selves easily cast on shelves
Who will remember those which we forgot?
Listen to the grand clocks striking their twelves
The echoes of their names still haunt the halls
Yet none know their names now. None can say.
Like painted duchesses, ever on walls
And grey mantlepieces hidden away.

Just as mine will end, their lives are over.
