Trials and Tribulations

What are the biggest challenges of your life? I believe that we each have a personal demarcation line of the soul. An invisible barrier of sorts. Once it is crossed, an immediate response by our nervous system is sent instructing us to fight or run. I have done both.

I tend to use my quiet skills of organization and tenacity to fight back. I collect and analyze data on a person who has wronged me; to be used for a later defense if required. I have a decent vocabulary and can form a well -constructed paragraph. I often use these writing skills to formulate my arguments.

There are certain times when one has to “cut bait” and just run. I have done that as well. Some situations cannot be corrected and the only solution is to separate oneself. For me, a peace of mind has always been the goal. Others I have met, appear to be excited by the vicious cycle of fear and violence they have created. Perhaps that is all that they know?

When I reflect on my personal trials, I can hold my head high knowing that I did the best I could have done under the circumstances. The challenge for me now is to quiet those judges in my head which make me second guess everything.
