What if one day I let you go?

My love for you; you’ll never know.

What if one day I say no more?

Will you beg; will you implore?

Would you care? I think you will,

It’ll surprise you; the tears you’ll spill.

And you’ll regret so many things,

But by then I’ll cut off strings.

The ones you used to hold me down,

And then you watch me as I drown.

I’m not like you; I won’t avenge,

I’ll just move on; that’s my revenge.

And you will wallow in your mistakes,

I’ll walk away as your heart breaks.

And if one day I see you cry,

I won’t feel pity; at least I’ll try.
