Your heart follows,
With it now stuck between the edge of the universe and the ground on where you stand.
Naturally you float.
Submissive to heart ache and wind blown by heart break.
Trying to figure out where you'll best belong,
Sticking with what you know.

Though, there is a thought
That, with each breath taken in, making more apparent the condition that you're in,
"You’ll be the last one standing."
An intense fear, now paired with a voice.

And each time you collapse, boneless and unwilling to stay,
In the slightest sound, almost escaping your mouth though, never, because of its powerful meaning,
You'll feel yourself begin to lift, and with each syllable stray,
From your body,
To the suggestive,

”just give up.”

With hands held out, you are no closer.
Observing these paths take form,
Mostly pointed away,
Sometimes going right through.
A total abandonment of your being,
And constant reminder,
”this isn’t the place for you.”

It is hard to think clearly
When a greater part
Of not only your portrait but the bigger picture,
Is burnt down to the smallest pieces

And into the unknown, blown.
