A A A

Locked away, I stand, stuck in here,

changing faces, year after year,

hello? Can’t you hear my calls?

My words are muted, let me out,

though, dumb I am, I scream and shout,

Do you know about these walls?

When you walked passed, I saw your face,

these thoughts, they said, though once, a waste,

a life, I can taste it now.

You reddened your cheeks and made me blush,

you fixed your hair, please do not rush,

lean closer and hush me, wow.

You look at you, but you see me,

and seem happy, so I feel free,

couldn’t I be much nearer?

I wish to talk, how fast you leave,

The things I’d say, you’d never believe.

Dead. Would you grieve a mirror?
