Pull them out from my heart, I beg you!

Pull out the roots carving the flesh

Lingering through soft aching pulp

Clinging to my sore and tender muscle

The fruit is bleeding out, dripping,

dropping, piece after piece, falling

Let the flesh glimmer and the heart pound

Purple veins filled with thoughts of you

Longing, filled with your poison

Feeding the sick harvest

The sick harvest is growing,

Roots are claiming their home

and with every cut, comes out

Drops of pleasure putrefied,

smelling of rancid happiness

crystallized blood, crushed

Clean the blood you left behind

How can I wash it out from your pillowcase or

the scraps on your dinner plate?

How can I wash the blood from my mouth, my hands?

Did you carve my heart open, trying to preserve love...forever?

Please make the bleeding  stop

Only when dry could I get back up

Keep it safe until I’m able

To love, to believe

one day

just not today
